A Clean Sweep for Britain
In partnership with The People newspaper, Veolia Environmental Services is offering four members of the public the chance to win the ‘clean up’ of a community space in time for the Jubilee celebrations.
At Veolia Environmental Services we have an army of men and women who work hard to keep Britain clean. You might have seen our team around – our street sweepers, drivers, litter pickers, engineers, gardeners and waste and recycling operatives are just some of the people that help us serve over a third of the population across Great Britain.
Our 12,000 staff live and work in your local community – you may already know them, they may even be your neighbour. This Spring/Summer we want to give something back to the communities where we live and work by helping you give a new lease of life to local community spaces like the local park, gardens or allotments – we want to turn these spaces into a resource that everyone can enjoy together.
After the Royal Veolia treatment it could be the perfect venue for a community Jubilee celebration and we’ll also help with the celebrations to ensure your community celebrates the Jubilee in style!
The competition will promoted in The People newspaper over the coming weeks and the winners will be unveiled in the paper on 10 June.
All you need to do to enter is take a picture of the area that you would like to receive the royal Veolia treatment and explain in no more than 150 words why you should win.
Deadline for entries is Sunday 15 April 2012.
